Benefits of Ufly4fun Training
BHPA Registered School - Your assurance that the training is professional, vetted, and follows an approved and time tested syllabus.
We can only teach members of the BHPA but can sign you up on the day. With membership, whilst under instruction, your first flights include liability insurance.
BHPA Ratings we offer.
Club Pilot (Power)
Additional (Power) environment to your existing BHPA ratings if you are already a member and have (Hill) and or (Tow) environment.
You are a complete beginner looking into getting started into Paramotoring. We supply all of the training and equipment until you are "Club Pilot, or Pilot Rated". Once signed into the school, your training can start straight away and then you're only a few days away from your first solo flight. We use the very best equipment for training so you can feel safe in the knowledge that the equipment you are flying is suitable and safe for your skill level and weight range.
You are a BHPA member with an existing Hill or Tow rating and wish to add the ‘Power’ environment to your rating. We effectively sign you in to the school as normal, however you will easily and quickly progress through most stages of the syllabus as you already have some of the skills required, so we will only need to train you on anything you are missing, more specifically the power sections of the syllabus. Depending on your previous experience, this can be done in as little as a day or two, and you just need to sit the ‘Power’ environment exam to add the power to your existing rating.
Fast Track to Club Pilot or Pilot
For existing pilots who are already flying Paramotors, but do not have a BHPA rating we can offer a fast track route to obtain a BHPA rating and therefore gain the much sought after BHPA Third Party Insurance. We effectively sign you into the school then you will need to demonstrate that you are at the equivalent standard of a newly qualified Club Pilot or Pilot and sit the Club Pilot or Pilot (Power) exam. (For Pilot exam, we need to order this from the BHPA so need time to organise this before you arrive)
Learning to fly a Paramotor with Mike Chilvers
It took me a good few years to eventually pluck up the courage to visit Winglands Airfield and chat to people about learning to fly a paramotor. Would I feel out of my depth? Would I enjoy the atmosphere of the club? Could I actually learning to fly a Paramotor and fulfil my boyhood dreams? Maybe – just maybe – the time was right for me and I could learn to fly…
As I embarked on my journey, what I didn’t expect was just how well supported I would feel by all of the club members and also – and most importantly – the Chief Flying Instructor, Mike Chilvers.
Mike is a first rate instructor of Paramotoring in my experience for three key reasons…
Put simply, I couldn’t recommend Mike more highly.
